Richard Thoburn

Richard has worked in corporate communications for 25 years. He is the founder of Thoburns, Greentarget’s sister agency, a branding and design consultancy. He is also director of Dubai-based Financial Media Strategy, and a Non-Executive Director of the economic consultancy, Maxwell Stamp. His experience includes market research, creative advertising, public relations, media buying and sponsorship.

Jeff has spent nearly 20 years working in financial services communications, mainly in public relations, marketing and branding. His experience covers a range of industry sectors including market structure, financial technology and cards and payments, with much of his work focussed on delivering international communications programmes. Jeff joined Greentarget from Weber Shandwick Financial where he co-lead the financial services team and prior to that was a director at Bell Pottinger Corporate and Financial.

Dafina has extensive corporate public relations experience with particular expertise in banking, asset management and market infrastructures. Dafina has advised some of the world’s leading financial institutions on cross-border campaigns and has a deep understanding of the industry and regulatory drivers impacting financial markets, in addition to a passion for macroeconomics. She joined Greentarget in 2009 from Weber Shandwick. Before this, Dafina spent two years working in a communications role with NATO. Dafina is a member of the organising committee of Hedge Funds Care.

Melissa Rowling

Melissa Rowling

Melissa has over twenty years’ experience in corporate and business-to-business public relations, across financial services and markets. She spent eight years working for Square Mile with a two year interval to help set up a global macro hedge fund which was part of Ikos Asset Management. Melissa worked at Weber Shandwick where latterly she headed up the financial services division, until she left in 2006, to co-found Greentarget. Melissa has a particular expertise in financial markets, including market infrastructures, banking and derivatives.

Jamie has spent nearly ten years working with a range of firms from start-ups to large blue-chip organisations, covering a variety of industry sectors including asset management, wealth management, private equity, venture capital, real estate, business lending, corporate finance and fintech. Jamie has managed and launched several international PR programmes and provided strategic counsel on a wide range of brand building and crisis projects. Jamie joined Greentarget in January 2018 from Citigate Dewe Rogerson.

Harriet provides media relations and content generation support for clients operating in the market infrastructure, financial technology and energy sectors. She has extensive knowledge of financial markets, supporting clients in their efforts to lobby regulators in Europe, the US and Asia and reach their target audiences. Harriet joined Greentarget from the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in London, where she assisted in the development and promotion of commerce and investment between Spanish and UK companies.

Shaukat Aziz

Shaukat Aziz

H.E. Shaukat Aziz served as Prime Minister of Pakistan between 2004 and 2007, following five years as the country’s Finance Minister and thirty years at Citibank. While in office, he steered an economic turnaround taking Pakistan from the brink of bankruptcy. His time in government was marked by high economic growth, exchange rate stability, a reduction in poverty and an upsurge in local and foreign investment.   He is a member of several boards and advisory boards of various commercial and non-profit entities around the world and is a frequent speaker on a wide range of global, geopolitical and economic issues.

Roger Bootle

Roger Bootle

Roger Bootle is one of the City of London’s best-known economists and founder of Capital Economics. He is also a Specialist Adviser to the House of Commons Treasury Committee and an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries. He was formerly Group Chief Economist of HSBC and, under the previous Conservative government, was appointed one of its Independent Economic Advisers. In 2012, Roger and a team from Capital Economics won the Wolfson Prize. He is a regular media commentator and columnist for The Daily Telegraph. He has written several books on monetary economics including The Trouble with €urope, which analyses what has gone wrong with the EU and how to put it right. He graduated from Oxford University.

Reg Valin

Reg Valin

Reg Valin is a marketing and business development consultant and Business Angel backing entrepreneurs seeking funding for business expansion. He commenced his City career with the Bank of America and then joined the Charles Barker advertising and communications Group, ultimately being appointed Chief Executive of their financial and corporate communications company, Charles Barker City. He then founded and became Chairman and Chief Executive of the Valin Pollen Group which floated on the London Stock Exchange four years later. Specialising in Financial PR and Investor Relations, the company was retained as a communications and strategy adviser on many major privatisations, IPOs and takeovers.
