Bio
Anna Lawlor is a senior leader working at the intersection of digital strategy, reputation risk and regulated-sector governance.
She brings a mix of analytical rigour, editorial authority and commercial execution to her role.
She spent 12 years as co-founder of a PR & MarComms Agency in Cambridge, providing social and digital advisory and strategic communications to blue-chip financial and professional services.
Prior to that she was an award-winning financial journalist. She has written for the majority of UK broadsheets and many financial B2B magazines, including as a Financial Times editor.
She was Commissioning Editor for The Guardian’s On Social Media series, and co-host of The Social Media Show podcast.
Her BBC Radio 4 statistics documentary Typical! was commended by the Royal Statistical Society and shortlisted for excellence in business, economics and financial journalism at the Wincott Foundation Journalism Awards.

She is a seasoned Awards Judge for The Drum, DMA and more. In her spare time, she enjoys public speaking and chairing live events at Book and Ideas Festivals around the country.
